Telling & Praying: The Deep Connection
Telling is an act of prayer. It is not a lecture, not a performance. We can only tell if we truly listene to the story. If we dwell within the story and we practice a spiritual discipline, a crafting of words in a prayerful way.
Listening is also an act of prayer. When we listen to, or read, a Biblical story we step into the tale and dwell in its wisdom. Having heard we are moved to tell. The gift we have received becomes the treasure we offer others.
Telling is Praying. Listening is Praying. That is the Good News.
