Every day we explore storytelling traditions from the great desert cultures of the world while exploring the natural landscape of the Sonora desert.
The Cultures: Sahara, Arabian, Kalahari, Sonora, Gobi, Australian & the Holy Land. Places in the Sonora: Saguaro National Monument, Living Desert Museum, San Xavier Bac Mission, and other desert environments in and around Tucson.
There will be some easy desert walks in the cool of the morning. Morning and evening prayer will outdoors under the desert sun and the desert moon.
Our Lodgings
We will be staying at the Redemptorist Retreat Center, set in the Sonora desert at the edge of the vast expanse of Saguaro National Monument.
